During February 2016, I was the Design Lead for the Watson Advanced Cognitive Technology team working on prototypes that leveraged the power of Watson.
This app’s ability to mine the political landscape enabled the politically curious to parse vast amounts of video and written data to find content of interest using a natural interface. Users can watch and listen to debates, while a feed of issues and relevant content refresh synchronously with what the candidates say.
Watson employs sophisticated statistical algorithms and natural language processing technology to analyze the content and context of candidate statements, extracting key concepts and entities, and using them to identify the most relevant articles, videos, legislation, and campaign finance data.
